BoardBits.com - Table Shuffleboard new and information
| Introducing: |
BoardBits.com |
Greetings fellow shuffleboard
enthusiasts.
This is the first in a regular series of shuffleboard
"e-news" publications, brought to you by The Shuffleboard Federation. BoardBits.com will keep you up to date on
upcoming Shuffleboard Federation events, provide results and pictures of
previous events and offer useful shuffleboard information such as an Ask the
Pros section, new product information and other relevant shuffleboard topics.
We are looking for a logo for BoardBits.com. Anyone with artistic ability
and imagination is invited to submit their ideas. For now, most of the
information will be maintained on our web site
shuffleboardfederation.com.
A separate web site for BoardBits.com
will be developed in the coming months. Please feel free to let us know what
type of information you would like to see included. In this inaugural
issue, there are links to the
Tournament
Info section of our web site, where you can view the results of the recent
WCT, including
the scores of all the games in the Round Robin Singles and a
group
photo of the participants.
Plans have been finalized for the
2001 North
American Shuffleboard Championships. The 2001 NASC, which is
being held October 28 - November 4 at the Sands Regency Casino Hotel in Reno,
Nevada, features several exciting changes in events and format. The flyer will
be in the June issue of The Board Talk, but you can get a jump on the
competition by printing an
entry form
right off the web site and sending it in early to secure your spot. You can
also view the Schedule of
Events and general
information by clicking the appropriate links.
Tournament directors
that would like to have information about their future events listed in our
upcoming events section should email the information to
info@shuffleboardfederation.com. Anyone with a question they would like to have
considered for our ask the pros section should also email it to
info@shuffleboardfederation.com. Our panel of pro players includes Bill Melton,
Darrol Nelson, Dan Hitt, Bobby Voorhis, Diana Hagen and John McDermott.
Additional players will be added to this list in the near
future.
Southwest Open Update: Just a reminder to anyone who is
going to Del City, Oklahoma for the annual 4th of July Tournament, the early
registration deadline is June 15. After that date, there is a late fee of $5.00
for registration and for each event entered.
